2013 Dodge Dart cars: initial pricing (US) including options and competitors
Prices include destination except where noted. The SE has no engine option outside the 2.0, and the GT is the only car to have the 2.4 (and nothing else). The 2012 Caliber SE started at $17,380, with a slightly less capable 2.0 and a five-speed manual; Chrysler claims around $1,350 in extra content on the 2013 Dart. Canadian pricing is similar but has a $1,500 destination charge. There may be small changes to the packages over time.
Production schedule: The first production units were Dodge Dart Rallyes in Redline Red with the Diesel Grey interior, powered by the optional 1.4L MultiAir® Intercooled Turbo with 6-speed manual transmission, reaching dealers in early to mid June. After that, SE, SXT, Rallye and Limited models will supplement the first cars, powered by the 2.0L automatic and the 1.4 with 6-speed manual (it can take two or three months for cars to get to dealers). In July and early August, there will be limited numbers of the SE, SXT, Rallye and Limited with 2.0L manual, 2.0L automatic, and 1.4 manual. The 2.0 automatic starts production in June, the 2.0 manual in July, the 1.4 dual-clutch and GT in April 2013.
